Public invited to interactive tour of new medical building, free food, family-friendly activities. Dr. James D. Pike wants to meet his new neighbors, so the Pike Township resident is inviting the community to an open house at his medical office from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at 7911 N. Michigan Road. Visitors will get a chance to tour Pike Medical Consultants, which offers urgent care, lab and radiology services and a medically supervised weight-loss program. Medical staff will offer health screenings, including taking visitors’ blood pressure, checking weight and BMI, giving kids a chance to use a stethoscope, seeing the lab and more. There also will be free face painting, refreshments and a raffle to win either a $50 gift card or a free urgent care visit.
Dr. Pike founded his medical practice in 2007, but recently renovated an abandoned pharmacy, so he could expand services and hours for the walk-in clinic (UrgentCare Indy), offer a medically supervised weight-loss program (WeightCare Indy), and be in a more centralized location for the community. Pike Township is one of the most medically underserved area in Marion County. “Pike Township does not have the same access to urgent care and other health services as those who live in other areas of Marion County, and we want to help change that,” he said. “Our goal is to provide the services our community needs with care and compassion at a convenient location, at convenient times and with transparent costs.” The open house offers the community a chance to meet Pike Medical Consultants’ medical professionals, hear about the services they offer and learn more about healthy lifestyles.
